The holiday season is quickly approaching and nothing beats a good handmade bar of soap or 2 (or 3!) for mildness and incredible lather in a gift basket!!!
Learn to handcraft cold process & hot process soaps in this easy to follow step-by-step instructional workshop!
Better than spa quality, these soaps are moisturizing, long lasting and lather like a moondog!
Cold Process: Using natural vegetable oils, dried herbs and pure botanical oils, you’ll assist in the soapmaking process and gain practical knowledge of herbs and aromatherapy. Cold process soap is the “standard” soapmaking technique used by most soapmakers.
Hot Process: Using the same basic recipes as with the cold process soap, hot process soap is cooked in your oven and ready to use as soon as it comes out of the mold. This is a more advanced soap technique, but still straightforward and do-able. AND the soap is mild and lovely to use!
Take home recipes for both processes as well as soaps made during the workshop.
Both processes are simple to do – you can go home and easily make both types of soap on your own. There will be an opportunity to purchase soapmaking supplies, essential oils & more after the workshop.
Email Suzanne@goodnaturedearthling.com to register! This will be the last soap making workshop offered before Christmas, don’t miss out!
The date for the workshop has been changed to Sunday, October 18th! Have YOU signed up yet? If you’ve ever wanted to delve into making and using herbal products in your own home, this is the workshop for you! I will be sharing lots of good herbal info and some of my secrets of making salves and creams that I’ve developed over the 20 years of herbal medicine making. I can truly say that I know how to make phenomenal herbal products…after taking this workshop, you will too! For more info, go to the Cedar Mountain Herb School page of our website:

I’m going up the mountain next week on Tuesday to harvest more blueberry leaves for The Herbalist in Seattle. I need to pick 8 more pounds for them.
Does anyone want to join me in the picking??
I will pay in herbal products and perhaps even a short wild plant info walk.
Healthy skin is a thing of beauty.
Did you know that 60% of what you put on your skin goes directly into your bloodstream?
Glow with good health when you create and use healing herbal salves, medicinal oils and creams you’ve made yourself with all natural ingredients: moisture rich oils naturally abundant in vitamins A, D and E, proteins, lecithin and amino acids, ethically wildcrafted and organically grown herbs, local beeswax, pure botanical oils.
Medicinal Oils - easily absorbed by our skin, medicinal oils can be made with herbs for pain relief, to soothe dry skin and heal wounds.
Herbal Salves - Starting with our medicinal oil as a base, we’ll create a aromatic salve for the cold & flu season and a soothing salve for extra dry skin.
Creams - Lighter than salves and better than any spa product on the market, you’ll learn to make a whipped herbal cream made with Shea butter, Aloe juice, botanical oils and herbal butters and oils.
Take home samples of medicinal oils, salves and creams made during the workshop.
Sunday, September 20th, 1-4 pm. Fee: $50
Location: Burlington – directions to the workshop will be provided upon registration.
