In the Seattle Times…..doesn’t say it’s Good Natured Earthling, but we don’t know any other local soapmaker and best gal Beth who can sell soap to any man by telling him our soap is Dude Friendly!

Quality and pricing of GNE herbals

2009 November 19
by wildcrafter

Ever wondered why Good Natured Earthling herbals seem on the pricey side? Here’s your answer!

We use only whole ingredients. We do our own wildcrafting of the herbs in our formulas. That means I (Suzanne) must know the plants very intimately – where they live, where to find the healthiest stands, the medicinal value of the plants, when to harvest certain parts of the plants for the best quality medicine. For instance, I’ve found that the St. John’s Wort on mountain passes is stronger than what grows on the shore. Oppositely, I prefer Shore Mugwort over Mountain Mugwort.  The formulas are created by our resident herbalist (Me!) and we never “borrow” another company’s recipes. You get my expertise in every jar! We make everything from scratch using no preservatives, synthetic scents or colors. We never buy in bulk and repackage – can’t ever be sure of formula, ingredients or quality. Sure, it would be cheaper to buy in bulk, but aren’t you happy that you can rest assured that you really are buying the best when you buy Good Natured Earthling – Nature at its best!

We need someone to mind the booth at the Bellingham Farmers market on Saturday September 26th. Ideally, it would be someone who lives in Bellingham. The booth displays and products would be brought to the market, and we’re needing someone to help set up, do the sales during the market and break down and load up the booth at the end of the day. For information, contact Suzanne@goodnaturedearthling.com
