Exciting news for the biz!

January 19, 2011

I’ve hired Eve McCauley of Wateredroots – http://wateredroots.wordpress.com/ – to create new logos for the Cedar Mountain Herb School, Good Natured Earthling and my new line of products containing wildcrafted plants – Cedar Mountain Botanicals! I’m very excited about this new adventure and the direction that I will be going with my business.

The plan is to split Good Natured Earthling into 2 separate entities…GNE and Cedar Mountain Botanicals. GNE will be for the bulk of the soap line and bath & body products, Cedar Mountain Botanicals will be for my salves, Arnica Massage Oil, the tinctures, tea blends and other wildcrafted herb products.

I will be building up both businesses with the intent on selling Good Natured Earthling. Formulas, the GNE name, new logo, the excellent customer base and reputation is what will be purchased. If anyone is interested, let’s talk! Suzanne@goodnaturedearthling.com

I will then be freed up to build the Cedar Mountain Herb School with more workshops and apprenticeship programs through out the year.

Stay tuned for the unveiling!

Autumn apprenticeship!

October 11, 2010

Dandelions and Burdock!

October 4, 2010

It’s hard to believe that the summer apprenticeship is over and the autumn apprenticeship is halfway past!

Oh what a Best Tuesday Ever we’re going to have tomorrow!  Burdock and Dandelion – 2 of our most important herbs to work and play with, to eat, to learn about.

Burdock – nourishing to our liver, kidneys, lungs, immune/lymphatic system. Strengthens the uterus before and after childbirth. Cools fevers, rages and hot flashes. Helps move gall stones out of the gall bladder. Cools burning urination during a bladder infection. Clears our skin from breakouts, eczema/psoriasis from the outside and in. Antibacterial! Nourishes our nerves! Nervous energy? Cool down with burdock! Dandruff? Burdock has your answer. A deep digger and hard worker! Got buried resentments/jealousy/anger/grief/denial?  Burdock releases powerful emotions – helps us to get clear and moving forward to the destiny God has for us.

Dandelion – Primo liver healer and strengthener. We can live without our fingers, we can lose an arm and still keep going, but we can’t live without our liver! Nourishes and strengthens our immune system. Digestive bitter – heals and nourishes the entire digestive tract. Helps us to get full nutrition from the foods we eat. Tones and nourishes your spleen, skin, nerves, kidneys, glands, urinary, circulatory, lymph, gall bladder. Charges up your chi! Zaps the zits!

Together, is there nothing these 2 plants can’t do? Doesn’t seem so, does it?

Are you ready to have the most fun you have ever had on a weekday????? Get ready, let’s go!

Digging Dandelions and Burdock. We’ll make an immune boosting soup, vinegars, medicinal oils, tinctures, pickle roots with onions, garlic and ginger, coat pieces with nutritional yeast and saute in olive oil……

Pictures to come!
